Sphere Mediamaterializes its vision to increase the creation of original content
We are delighted to announce the promotion of Josée Vallée to the position of Executive Vice-President, Scripted and Feature Films, French content, and the appointment of Renaud Chassé as Executive Vice-President, Unscripted and Documentaries, French content. These changes will take effect on December 6.
“The appointments of Josée and Renaud will allow us to expedite the development of new content at the forefront of trends and viewing needs while continuing to work closely with our creators, artisans and broadcasters”, said Bruno Dubé, President and CEO.
Josée Vallée has an impressive track record in the industry. An experienced and respected producer, Josée Vallée is renowned for her significant contribution to Quebec television. Josée Vallée joined the Sphere Media team in 2014 where she has produced series such as Hubert et Fanny, This Life, Cerebrum, L’Imposteur, Bad Blood, Une autre histoire, Les Honorables, Trop, Épidémie, nominated at the 2021 Rockie Awards and sold internationally. Josée is actually working on the production of the miniseries Aller simple and the second seasons of Cerebrum, Les Honorables and Transplant.
Renaud Chassé returns to Sphere after a stint at Fair-Play at the helm of Révolution. Prior to his departure, he worked as Creative Director and Content Producer, during which time he contributed to various projects, such as Génial!, Moi j’mange, Les aventures du Pharmachien, La vie secrète des animaux, Le dernier passager, Le pire du pire, Numéros 1, Ne jamais faire à la maison, Conseils d’amis, Un zoo pas comme les autres and Les petits tannants. Over the course of his career, Renaud also worked for several years creating content for Cirque du Soleil and has won numerous awards and honours.
This past March, Jennifer Kawaja (Sort Of, Cardinal, One of Ours) and Marlo Miazga (Gabby’s Farm, Haunted Hospitals, Paranormal Nightshift) were respectively appointed to head up the Fiction and Feature Films teams and the General Television team in Toronto for English-language markets.
