We’re pleased to announce the arrival of Kim Bondi, a well-known figure in the television industry, as Senior Vice-President of Development for our unscripted English team in Toronto, BGM and will be reporting into Marlo Miazga. Her first day should be March 1.
Kim’s primary responsibility will spearhead BGM’s development strategy and oversee its ambitious production slate, drawing on her international and US relationships to generate new creative and commercial opportunities.
Andrea Griffith, Director of content, Aidan Denison, Director of development and Azucena Mainero, Development coordinator will work closely with Kim on a day-to-day basis
Kim brings with her a wealth of knowledge and experience gained from more than two decades at the forefront of Canada’s entertainment industry — a career that has won her five Canadian Screen Awards, one Critic’s Choice Real TV Award and two Primetime Emmy nominations. She is currently in the running for a Realscreen Award for home-renovation series Rock Solid Builds, which she exec produced for Cineflix Media.
As Cineflix Productions’ executive vice-president of production and programming, and head of development Canada, Bondi oversaw one of Canada’s largest slates of lifestyle and factual programming. Her executive-producer credits include, Property Brothers, Flipping Virgins, Bizarre Murders, Food Factory, Home Factory and Style Factory. Prior to joining Cineflix in 2005 as a writer and narrator, she worked for CBC and Discovery Channel, where she produced, directed and wrote for a variety of shows, including CBC’s All-Star Comedy Homecoming Special with Royal Canadian Air Farce.
Kim’s arrival coincides with long-serving development head Sean Connolly’s decision to pursue other creative endeavors. Sean will continue to collaborate with us on various projects.
