Bruno Dubé, President of DATSIT Sphere Inc., and Jacques Bilodeau, President of Oasis Animation Inc. and Quiet Motion Inc., along with their respective teams, are happy to announce the merger of the two groups, strengthening their position as Canadian leaders in the creation, adaptation and production of television, cinema and animation content.

Over the past three decades, DATSIT Sphere has built a solid reputation for producing successful dramatic series and programs in Quebec, in English Canada and internationally. Among the company’s recent hits are Belle et Bum, Génial!, Un zoo pas comme les autres, Les Aventures du Pharmachien, La guerre des clans, Vie de chantier, Bad Blood, Les Honorables, Une autre histoire, Trop, 19-2, and Transplant, currently in production for CTV, NBC Universal and VRAK. The company has more than 300 variety, dramatic, magazine and documentary projects to its credit, and has plans to turn out more than forty productions in 2019. Having recently merged with motion picture production company Go Films, Datsit Sphere also produces feature films such as the box office hit 1991, the latest installment of Ricardo Trogi’s trilogy. The company is currently working on Fabuleuses and Sympathie pour le diable, both slated for 2019 releases.
Oasis Animation, Quebec’s biggest animation studio, has produced some of Quebec’s most successful animated series over the years, including Les Grandes Gueules s’animent, Pérusse Cité, and Mouss et Boubidi. Oasis also has a significant international profile, thanks to its work on prestigious animated series like F is for Family, Arthur, Caillou, Martha Bla Bla, and numerous others. Oasis Animation has recently completed an important expansion plan to increase its production capacity. The company has also created a 2D animation training facility in its Montreal studio, and attracts top animation talents from the local scene and worldwide.
Over the years, Quiet Motion has produced fifteen productions, including documentary series like Dinolab, Rires du monde, Parconautes, La vie en quatre temps and Champions du monde. These programs are sold in dozens of countries.
This merger will continue to leverage the strengths and the independence of the company’s teams and trademark identities, while benefiting from synergy and collaboration opportunities under the DATSIT Sphere brand, thus enhancing the group’s position in Quebec, in Canada and internationally.
