He will be responsible for legal affairs and television distribution operations for the entire organization
Sphere, a leader in the creation, adaptation, production and distribution of content for film and television, is pleased to announce the arrival of Sébastien Pigeon as Executive Vice-President and Chief Legal and Television Distribution Officer.
Sébastien’s main responsibilities will be to manage the organization’s legal and business affairs and to support the day-to-day needs of the company’s senior executives and its various business units. In addition to his legal affairs mandate, Sébastien will oversee all television distribution operations and will be responsible for developing and executing the television distribution strategy with an eye to Sphere’s major international expansion. He will also support the company’s growth plan through acquisitions.
Sébastien Pigeon is a lawyer who holds a master’s degree in technology law from Université de Montréal. He began working in the production industry in 2001 when he joined Zone3 as legal counsel. He then spent nearly five years with the intellectual property team at Ogilvy Renault (now Norton Rose) in Montréal, where he practised copyright and entertainment law. He subsequently joined AETIOS Productions in 2010, where he served as General Manager and Vice-President, Legal Affairs, and Executive Producer until November 2022.
