Être ailleurs : l’année québécoise de M. Juppé

Summer 2005. A Frenchman, not just any Frenchman, arrives in Quebec with his wife and children. Alain Juppé, former Prime Minister of the Republic, has just been convicted as the leader of a party that embezzled public funds for partisan purposes. He dreamed of being president of his country, and now he is a political refugee in Quebec. He thought he was going to live a year of all dangers. Here he is facing all the possibilities: rediscovering civil and family life, the pleasure of teaching, the joy of time regained.
