Hosted by Hélène Bourgeois Leclerc and Vincent Dion Lavallée, Le Restaurant is a unique competition where 12 future restaurateurs compete to make their dream come true: to open their own restaurant. In the end, only one candidate will walk away with the grand prize of $50,000. The candidates, with different entrepreneurial strengths, will test the restaurant concept they dream of making a reality. The heart of this new culinary competition is to test the candidates’ project in a very concrete way in a real restaurant with real customers. Each week, the restaurant owner who has not convinced either the chef or the clientele will have to hand in his apron and leave the Restaurant.
