500 planes are flying over the Atlantic and bound for North America on the morning of September 11, 2001. After four terrifying attacks using commercial jets as missiles, any other aircraft may be highjacked and about to commit further acts of destruction. The lives of 33,000 people are in the hands of Nav Canada air traffic controllers in Gander, Newfoundland, population 11,000. These unsung ATC heroes draw on their skills and experience to achieve the impossible, safely land over 200 planes in less than four hours without a single incident.
