Based on the Award-Winning novel by Geneviève Pettersen.
On her 16th birthday, Catherine receives a yellow Discman, the book Moi, Christiane F… and the right to go to the mall. It was also the day her father drove his mother’s jeep into a wall on purpose. Catherine enters adolescence at the same time as her parents begin the divorce process. She doesn’t care. She is too busy dealing with Melanie Belley who terrorizes her for absolutely nothing. It is by stealing her boyfriend Pascal that Catherine climbs the social ladder of the high school. Catherine is eager to know everything. The exploration will not be gentle or romantic. From Pascal to Keven, from one skid to another, she grows old in the violent and spectacular chaos of 90’s grunge adolescence.
