Montreal, winter 2002. Stéphane, a 19-year-old metal fan and graphic design student, dreams of becoming an illustrator. But for months he has been caught up in a threatening spiral: he is addicted to lotery games.

Montreal, 1945. A few months have passed since the end of the Second World War. Jean Thibault, alias IXE-13, formerly the finest agent in Canada’s spy service, is now the respected owner of the Crystal Night Club and finds himself reluctantly drawn into a new undercover operation.

Two women, worlds apart: Betty, a talented young writer, who experiences the joys of being a mother with her four-years-old son Joseph; Carole, a waitress in a downtown bar who hasn’t had it easy in life, and who, when not indifferent to her son José, is downright mean to him.

Noir chronicles the lives of four people living in a poor neighborhood and aspiring to freedom and happiness. A neighborhood plagued by poverty, drug trafficking, violence, and gangs wars.

Anna, renowned photographer, is on assigment in Asia for her magazine. On her way, she meets Sam, a fixer who will intervene decisively in her fate.

Romain Gary, who lives in Los Angeles with his wife, the actress Jean Seberg, takes in a stray dog. The dog quickly finds his place in the house, with Diego, the couple’s only son. He is affectionate with everyone. Everyone, except Black people.
